Western Express putting EpicVue satellite TV system in 1,600 trucks

Western Express said Friday it is making a significant investment to install premium, in-cab satellite TV systems in more than 1,600 trucks that the company operates for its truckload dry van and flatbeds operations... Each system Western Express is installing in its truckload dry van and flatbed fleet includes a satellite dome and local area antenna mounted and aligned outside of the cab, aDIRECTV receiver connected and powered inside the cab with more than 100 channels of premium entertainment and DRV capabilities, and a 24-inch flat screen TV... By outfitting its fleet with EpicVue’s premium satellite TV systems, Western Express is taking a leading role in the industry by adopting a technology that allows drivers to enjoy some of the comforts and conveniences of home while traveling on the road, according to Robert Stachura, chief operating officer...
